Multi-talented creative NXKXTA explores themes of self-sabotage and escapism in fatal forms on alt-pop anthem ‘HOPELESS KIND’. Building on epic riffs and an infectious hook, the track lead us through an emotional spiral of insecurity, self-doubt, self-sabotage. Characterised by urgent vocals, that sweep over crashing live drums and searing guitars, the piercing production delves into unhealthy coping mechanisms and how we try to seek out people to indulge in our misery. Dramatic and immersive, the track draws inspiration from the glamorisation of self-sabotaging characters in movies and TV to strike a deep and jagged chord within our hearts. -Malvika Padin
